Comal county, Texas Zip 78133 has more than its share of hungry deer eager to share the bounty of foliage in our yard. The deer of course are fun to watch, but not when they are munching on landscape plantings. So what do we do? We’ll try to plant Texas sage (Cenizo), Texas mountain-laurel (Sophora secundaflora), Mexican mint marigold (Tagetes Lucida), Mexican oregano (Polomintha longiflora), Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis), Salvia (Salvia spp?), Turk’s cap (Malvavicsus drummondii). Here is a link to a list of deer-resistant plants to our source information to might consider.
